Drug Court Judge White-Labora

In August of 2008 Judge Deborah White-Labora was appointed to serve as the Drug Court judge in Miami-Dade County. She is only the third judge, and the first woman, to serve in this position during the twenty year history of America’s first Drug Court.

Judge White-Labora grew up in Miami and graduated from South Miami Senior High, Florida State University and Emory Law School. During her almost twenty year tenure on the bench she has always been among the highest rated judges in all bar polls. She is on the adjunct faculty of the Legal Studies Institute at Florida International University and is a frequent lecturer in the community. In the Fall of 2008 an article she authored was accepted for publication by the American Bar Association.

Judge White-Labora is married to Alexander Labora and they have three children, Amanda, Christopher and Patrick.
